Final pic of the 2017 Rockland Junior Legion Eagles...best group of kids I've ever coached and a season I'll never forget. Thanks guys!

Coach L

Kingston 7  Rockland 1

A bad first inning plagued the Eagles and ultimately led to their demise in the season opener. Five walks and two errors led to 4 runs in the first inning for the Kingston Hornets. The Eagles were never able to recover leaving 9 runners on base. The Eagles has their share of opportunities with eight hits led by Chris Penney's 2 hits and Jake Sullivan's double. Alex Parker, Joe Murray and Zach Callahan each had their first Legion baseball hit. Sullivan also went 3 2/3 innings of no-hit relief, 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.

Rockland 10  Marshfield 0

Everything that went wrong in the opener was corrected in game 2 with excellent defense and pitching, and timely hitting. Aiden Glennon had a complete game shut-out, surrendering 6 hits while striking out 9 and walking 2. The game ended after six innings due to the 10 run rule. The Eagles were the beneficiaries of 14 Marshfield Midget's walks, but also chipped in with 10 hits of their own. Leading the way was Sean Mcguirk with 3 hits and Jake Sullivan with two. Riley Salani got his first hit of his Legion career.

AN 8TH INNING THRILLER

Rockland Eagles 5 Plymouth Rocks 4

Big win tonight at the stadium as the playoff push begins. Fortunately we overcame a ton of mistakes and an hour rain delay to pull this one out in 8 innings.

Riley Salani has now won 3 games in extra innings this season. Tony DeCecco had his second walk-off game winning hit of the season as well. Dan McHugh hit two absolute missiles to center field with one reaching the fence. McHugh also pitched a solid 4 innings to start the game.
